The earth has been reflecting back for quite a while now since this COVID-19 situation escalated. City Life has come to a slow pace- pollutant producing factories have been shut, vehicles on the roads are restricted, malls and recreational activities outside our homes are paused, and a lot more which in turn has created a positive impact in form of healthy Mother Nature. We can now listen to the chirping birds which were silenced by the honking cars earliar and obviously sky has been showing true colours ever since. Look at this one I captured from my house.

Apart from sleeping most of the day and listening to birds, scrolling back my gallery is my favourite activity these days- sometimes I’d look at my 3 year old self, sort family pictures and rest of the times I’d scroll through the pictures I took while on some Trip.

These refreshing mountains on my feed feels like the safest abode right now. Its not because of the current situation but the anticipated future conditions. I have this idea of running away to a beautiful mountain, away from the city, growing and eating organic, singing songs, talking to people, stargazing, hosting friends, like a restart to healthy joyful living, but then materialism has got a part of me.

But imagining a peaceful life- somewhere in mountains with a pet dog & a cat and a small lodge, waking up with the sun, meditating in that serene place and discovering yourself everyday, does not leave the corners of my head.

Until the materialistic goals leave me, I’ll stick to the idea of travelling for recreation and breaks from the ordinary. Let’s just wish this World comes back to its pace and we start a healthier and mutually sustainable lifestyle this time.
